ACTIVITIES

Working with mentor at ISEC – Infoage Space Exploration Center/Science history Museums. My time at ISEC has been incredibly valuable. Finding good mentors is tough, and I honestly feel like I got lucky with Dave Forlano. He’s been super patient, showing me the ins and outs of ISEC and the Radio Museum. It’s been amazing to have access to such historically important resources, especially the Diana Satellite. My interest in radio astronomy actually started with a random visit to ISEC, and it even led me to get my Amateur Radio HAM license—before I even got my driving permit! Volunteering here has introduced me to a whole new community of people who are passionate about STEM. The education and preservation of scientific history is something that really matters to a lot of accomplished experts, and it’s humbling to see how many hours they dedicate to it. Some of them have decades of experience, and it’s inspiring to be around that. My plan is to stay involved as I keep learning, gaining more knowledge, and expanding my role in outreach of more children to the center.
